Cherubim

Cherubim are a small type of Angel also originating from the realm of Heaven. They are child-like in appearance nearly all their lives and have much smaller wings. Due to this they often fly most of the time so that they can maintain level eye contact with most other races. Their small stature makes them physically weaker and less flexible than their taller kin, and so in the old Kingdom of Heaven they were often scouts, healers, and servants. There was once an elite unit of Cherubim amongst the Angel armies called the Darters, who were specialised in fast flying and shortbow archery to confuse and take out the enemy swiftly.
