Holy Magic

Holy Magic is an energy that resides naturally within Angels, manifesting in a golden light, granting them unique power over this magic. It is primarily restorative and defensive in focus, but also capable of being highly effective in offense against dark magics or corrupt beings. Since Angels and their powers were not created by Celestials, they do not draw upon the Glow, instead drawing upon the illusive 'angelic realms'. Whilst drawing Holy energy from these realms has been possible for a long time, no one has ever been able to cross over to them.
Angels can grant access to Holy magic to other species through a mark that can be branded onto their skin. Non-Angel wielders of Holy magic through these means were once called Paladins, but they are extremely rare now due to the sparsity of Angels and the loss of their culture and ways.
