History
In XXXX AD, Prince Alfred of House Windsor licensed the Albion Colonial Charter through the Stellar Monarchist League. As Chief Executive Officer, Prince Alfred oversaw the construction and outfitting of the colony ship Dover before leaving the Sol system with the first batch of colonists. They arrived in the Albion system in the year XXXX AD, and Prince Alfred established the new royal House of Pendragon. In time, the colony on the planet Albion grew and the three habitable moons in the system were settled. A new batch of colonists arrived in XXXX PD, sent from the Stellar Monarchist League along with a number of frigates to secure the system.Government
Albion is a federal constitutional monarchy comprised of X provinces and X territories. The government is led by the Monarch, who delegates domestic policy to the prime minister and the Cabinet.Executive
The Monarch (King or Queen) of Albion is the Head of State as well as the Head of Government. Each monarch's prime minister (chosen for their ability to organize majority votes in Parliament) provides to the Monarch recommendations for each of the minister positions within the supreme decision-making committee, known as the Cabinet. Although most domestic policy is delegated to the ministers of the Cabinet, the Monarch retains the position as Commander in Chief of the Military and maintains control over special units within each Ministry, such as the Royal Investigation Unit in the Ministry of Home Affairs.Judicial
The Supreme Court (acronym: SCA) is the final court of appeal in Albion for civil cases. It hears cases of the greatest public or constitutional importance affecting the whole population. It is comprised of 12 justices, each Judge nominated by the House of Commons and ratified by the House of Lords. The Monarch cannot veto Supreme Court nominees, though they may make their displeasure known. All twelve justices are not present for every case. Unless the case brought before them is of enough importance, each case is usually heard by a panel of five justices. The composition of panels is ultimately determined by the President of the Supreme Court, chosen by the Monarch. To avoid a tie, all cases are heard by a panel containing an odd number of justices.Legislative
The Legislative branch of Albion is Parliament, comprised of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The head of Parliament is the reigning monarch, represented by the Prime Minister, chosen by the monarch due to their predicted ability to coordinate majority votes in Parliament. The Prime Minister then forms a Government by recommending members of Parliament to serve as Ministers of various departments in the Executive branch. Parliament is a bicameral congress, consisting of an upper house and a lower house, the House of Lords and the House of Commons respectively. The monarch has the authority to veto or cancel bills in the House of Lords, the House of Lords has the authority vote down bills from the House of Commons, and the House of Commons has the authority to override the veto of the Monarch. The Prime Minister can come from either House but normally comes from the House of Lords due to their ability to vote down bills from the House of Commons. The Monarch also has the power to introduce legislation in the House of Commons. Typically this legislation is announced with the support of the Prime Minister but their support is not required. The House of Commons The Commons is an elected body consisting of X members known as members of Parliament (MPs). MPs are elected to represent constituencies by the ranked voting system and hold their seats until Parliament is dissolved. The House of Lords The House of Lords is the upper house of the Parliament of Albion. Members of the House of Lords are drawn from the peerage, made up of Lords Temporal and Lords Spiritual. The constitution of Albion stipulates that 2/3 of the House of Lords be Lords Temporal with the Lords Spiritual comprising the remaining 1/3, gradually gaining members as new Lords Temporal are seated. Most Lords Temporal are hereditary peers, but their number also includes citizens appointed by the Monarch on the advice of the Prime Minister. The Lords Spiritual are religious leaders chosen by the Monarch; typically archbishops and bishops in The Episcopal Church of Albion, but they can come from any religious group the Monarch chooses to grant influence to.Star System

An terrestial planet with only 80% of Earth's gravity. Due to the low gravity, plants and animals grow to incredible size. Flying animals are rare, most instead preferring to glide in between the massive trees that cover the surface. Most of Albion's population lives here, scattered throughout the planet's many archipelagos.Cymry
