Discovery of Estuary

Estuary was country/continent that was discovered on the other side of the world 100 years before the New Renaissance Age, and the founding of New Estuary. The discoverers were 2 scientists and a crew on a surveying trip. It was determined that Estuary was located north enough to have almost every ecosystem, and had virtually every resource to stay self sufficient, but not convenient enough to import and export out of due to it's distance. Since no country had a claim to it, and no country would start a war over it, it was decided that it would belong to all nations, and they would all send a group of people of their choosing to start a new nation that would encourage unity and progress. Estuary was quick to develop new technologies, in part to the fact that many scientists and explorers volunteered to be a part of this pilgrimage. All but cut off from the rest of the world, save for infrequent communication, once a year all nations would take the trek across the ocean to trade with Estuary. Estuary worked well to advance the world, but eventually became defiant as the result of required trades. A rebellion group; The Autonomy Party, rose into power, and denied all entry from other countries. With the world disconnected from Estuary, they quickly fell behind in technology. On the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Estuary, after many years of economical and political pressure, the world agreed to declare New Estuary a country of it's own, and to start a new age to commemorate the historic event.
