Backstory:
Seras was a quiet and faithful girl from a small zealot town in the empire, going to the cathedral for mass every week, praying 10 times a day every day. It was ironic that on her 16th birthday she was the chosen virgin girl of the year they took out to an ancient pedestal and sacrificed in the town's dark zealot society.
As she lay there dying, she questioned if all her praying was worth it, her final moments on the earth were alone until a man had walked up, asked if her she really wanted to die, if all the praying was worth it. All of it was changed when the man had answered her prayers himself, by biting her and giving her the powers of a vampire. With her new powers she returned to the zealot town, ripping apart all of the people in the dark zealot society, allowing the innocents to live. She then lived on the run, only feeding when necessary, or murdering when she encountered a maiden in distress. It was like a trigger for her, this went on for 30 years.
She was eventually taken into custody before the Grand Court of the Empire considering her being a live vampire, but instead of execution, The Emperor had stepped in and pardoned her due to the dark nature of the town itself, on the condition she serve the military for 10 years, under supervision of a high-powered squad.
To the surprise of the squad she was working with, she wasn't a murderous blood-sucker but a strong warrior that fought for the Empire, only having a few noted incidents of a blood rage during her 10 year tenure. Though instead of leaving the military she remained after her mandatory sentence, rejecting any offers of becoming an officer and instead fighting in special operations, until nearly a century later when The Legion was formed.
In the Legion she found a family of different people much like herself feeling at home finally. Her last noted incident was during the murder of 5 Legionaries, including the founding leader, Colonel Salvatore Calore, a man who she had a deep respect for, all at the hands of the second in command Major Ivan Ironfist. Almost becoming the 6th victim she was saved by Theodore, who she holds gratitude for to this day.
