This article discusses the general geographic area the Heaven's Lover series takes place in. It is also the geographical setting of Mekageddon, another series that shares characters with Heaven's Lover.
Geography
The Northsea Tristate Area is in the northeastern part of the Tang Colony States.
It consists of two large islands surrounded by the Atlantic to the east, and the King-in-Yellow (Huang-Wang) River to the west. The islands are generally flat land that used to be mostly grassland or coastal forest.
On the west bank of King-in-Yellow River is the mainland of the New World, which is dotted with settlements that have developed into full cities over time.
The area offers an excellent view of the Atlantic ocean to the east.

Fauna & Flora
Prior to Tang colonization, the plants were mainly conifers, oaks, and temperate fruits like cherries and plums.

After Tang settlers moved in, they brought Old World animals like horses and chickens, but also accidentally brought along mice and rats who had stowed away on ship.
They brought crops too; rice, millet, wheat, and new variants of fruit trees to be planted in the New World over the centuries.

- small prey like squirrels,
- poultry like turkeys,
- and carnivores such as bears and mountain lions.

Natural Resources
The area used to have plentiful veins of tin, which were all mined out for metalworks during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Today, people living here collect water for distilling or go fishing. Fisheries that encourage sustainable water livestock are a common sight in the industrial districts.
A cottage industry that has recently become large-scale is the production of gelatin and jelly products from kelp agar. Most of these products are sold under the Gannire Gello brand.
