The Conflict

Prelude

During the first half of May, Feather Mountain heroes stepped up in patrolling the Central Square due to rumors that the underlanders were going to destroy Phoebe's memorial.

Battlefield

The main battlefield was in Central Square, near Phoebe's Memorial.

Conditions

During the entire month of May, it was pleasant spring weather. Thus, it was unusually strange when storm clouds gathered shortly after Ludwig's victory.

The Engagement

On the morning of 28th May, the remains of Huifeng's forces and Ludwig's supporters clashed.
Because even Huifeng was exhausted by this point and had just recently lost her confidante, Ludwig had an easy victory despite his steam engine being damaged by the Lion Twins' sabotage.

Outcome

Ludwig could vandalize Phoebe's memorial to get Phoebe's Heart out without interruption.
Before he did so, he criticized Huifeng as a failure of a superhuman hero and falsely claimed she wanted to sell the heart for pocket money.
He then had his Monkeybots grab Huifeng and throw her as far as they could out of the park.

Aftermath

Ludwig escaped to the underlanders' home base with the heart and his remaining entourage of robots.
Huifeng was left with a severe concussion and a large cut on her leg which later turned infected.

Historical Significance

The entire war took only one month.

Legacy

The loss of Phoebe's heart was a huge blow to the surface dwellers' morale, and they began to doubt that superhumans could even choose to do the right thing in the face of danger.

Technological Advancement

Huifeng was supported mainly by a group of Bonnybots, led by Maru.
Ludwig not only had his customized robots, he had overwhelming numbers of superhumans on his side.

Half of the robots were damaged as a result of the fight.
