Session 2: Out of the Crater

General Summary

Falling out of the Ethereal plane

• We have Kaja Petrov , Anton Chooze , Hoo , and Shethirrot the plasmoid .
• They take 2d6 of falling damage, and then have to make dex saves to not fall down the extremely hot crater that is rapidly filling with steam and river water.
• Kaja fails, Anton teleports to avoid most of the damage
• Anton goes down to get Kaja, is able to make it out of the crater without the water engulfing them
• They all take stock of their surroundings, they do not realize what has happened or where they are apart from Hoo
• Duke Vayryl Harpaine joins up with them
• They try to take stock of their surroundings
• Realize they're in the city
• They find the church has a shield around the The Cathedral of Crystalline Clarity
• And some housing a few blocks behind is still standing, seemingly protected from the blast
• However the people still inside these areas seem to be killed. Whatever caused this explosion also killed those behind cover
• They're able to find a prison to loot, this would have the best chances of giving them suvival equipment out of the rest of the still standing buildings
• However they hear voices in the basement
• A guard refusing to leave his post and a Satyr still in his cell begging to be let out
• The guard is Captain Grossjean, he had a death ward and barely survived
• He lets them take some rations
• Hoo tries to unlock the prisoner
• The Satyr tries to push over the guard, and gets cut down quickly
• Viktor convinces him to let them stabilize the prisoner
• They get out and cannot convince the guard to come with them, he seems intent on staying at his post
• The Satyr goes back in his cell
• The guard gives them supplies
• They eventually get to the still standing bar that Kaja, Anton, Sam, and Bra'k used to stay at
• Everyone is dead
• They make a mediocre meal, while they batter down the hatches realllllly well (nat 20 survival)
• Anton goes back to his house. Finds his mother is not there, which means she was probably on shift and dead from the impact
• He gets his supplies and goes back with Kaja
• Unbeknowst to them, are followed back through the shadows by someone

Frankie and just his Strings

• Frankie emerges from the dome that Mystra encased him in to find a city in ashes
• Roll for long term madness?
• Mystra has one or two more things left to show him though
