The Underport

An engineering and mercantile marvel that took 20 years to complete. This is the entrance to a large underground trading center for the Underdark. With multiple measures in place to ensure no flooding occurs, this is the world's first Underdark trading center with close proximity to the ocean. The above ground entrance to this area is unassuming and part of a larger greenspace, but upon descending one of the many arcane elevators, you will emerge into an massive expansive cave with continual flame spells dotting much of the walls. A number of underdark roads emerge into the cavern, where stacks of crates are carefully overseen by managers. Following the journey of a crate from the underdark can take it into one of the many towering piles, being sorted by wizards, and then lifted into the above world for transport into whichever shops or depots require it.
Many of the cities underdark native races will work here in some capacity, and new tunnels are always looking to be constructed. If you have natural dark vision and a good work ethic, the underport is for you!
