I've been battling with
life and writing burnout for the past 2 years, so I don't feel like committing to much numbers wise, but I again want to channel the comunity excitement for SC to try to drag myself out of this non-worldbuilding limbo.
So as the title and subtitle suggest, this is less a Summer Camp pledge and more a second half of the year braindump and set of intentions.
Summer Camp will be an instrument to it, but not the final goal.
The Themes
Change
Hislariya
I've been thinking of making some substantial rewriting of Hislariya and that would be inspiration enough as for the "change" theme. In particular I would like to take the time to work on the map, the naming language and the timeline so I can reboot the setting with some more internal coherence.
S'ard
I am considering a reboot of S'ard as well, I would like to research and add some real life background to my articles, so people can learn about the real life inspiration of the alternative reality.
Unnamed
Change is a core concept of the New World I am writing in so there will be no shortage of inspiration for these theme here.
Refuge
Hislariya
In Hislariya, Hottest Spices has been a refuge for many people over the years and other refuges are harbours and the makarids enclaves in the world. Another direction could be to talk about where the dragons are hidden now.
S'ard
In S'ard, it can fit to talk about how the solarpunk direction of the culture and technology itself created a safe space for many people to thrive.
Unnamed
In the New world all the offices are a sort of refuge from whatever is chaotically appearing in the planet, they are a safe area of stabilized portal energy that will mostly remail constant. It is also a first area that provides the first tools for survival for the creatures arriving in the planet.
Belief
Hislariya
HislariyaI could detail some of the major religions and cults of the setting, So far I only briefly touched on the Dragon Cult which can be further expanded and Factions and political movement can account as belief too, I have a numbre of them and they can be detailed.
S'ard
I have two main religions in the setting and they deserve some work since they are part of the core articles that I need to expand.
New World
Every group of creatures that lands on New World will have their particular view of the reasons why they landed on it and philosopies of life, so that will be interesting to explore too.
I can also take this in a different direction and use The New world as a playground to write philosophical topics articles and explore the different ways all the folks in the world approach the topic. It is something that I always wanted to do, but the settings I worked on so far took different directions.
Decay
Hislariya
In Hislariya I could talk about the decay of the dragons bloodlines and the fall of the world into a age of war and corruption.There will be also the chance to write about some condition that can cause physical and psycological decay.In the New world, I can talk about all the things that ended there because they were obsolete or abandoned.
S'ard
In S'ard I can write about some of the magical creatures who thrive in the decomposition of the flash or in the decay of morals, and I can also talk about ancient ruins and corrupted traditions

Goal
I don't think I will have the focus to follow SC strictly, so I am going to set some external goal instead of a number of prompts.
Check the prompts and if something ignites a spark for one of the worlds write at least a short 300 words blurb to fill it.
During the second half of the year, go through TJ's 400 worldbuild prompts and see if anything inspires some idea.
Share with friends and loved ones whatever I write.

I will have a reread of

S'ard ones too and see if anything needs to be updated.
Accountability buddies
Accountability buddies: I have a small group of friends that will as usual provide accountability and cheerleading, my partner and the Cheems.
Styling
I will prepare in the next few days a styling sheet for The New world and S'ard ont the template of the one I have for Hislariya.
CSS
I think for now I will be satisfied with picking a template and do the basic styling for the New World, maybe change a colour or two. S'ard CSS might need some tweaks and I will have a look at Hislariya, but I think 'Sonata' still works well for it.
Optimize the space
I went through a good house clean up and decluttering and I feel I can enjoy a few days of light maintenance so I can have more free time to write and less visual clutter to distract me.
Homepage, Intro and Author page
I should really have a good look at them and update them /restyle but the thought of it overwhelms me so I think I will skip them for now and get back to them if I find the inspiration along the way.
Personal assignment
Go through the readers challenges and the previous to do and prepare an ongoing inspiration and goal file in the notebook so I can refer always to it for tweaks to the world and new ideas.
