The Southern Rift

While few tears in the Veil are permanent, there are a few tears which manifests and simply stay put. Among these rifts, the most famous is the Southern Rift which came about after the fall of The Southern Lords. Much like other permanent rifts, The Southern Passage is much more dangerous and volatile than other, temporary rifts. There are also rumors of otherworldy creatures roaming the waters in its immediate vicinity. The aptly named Southern Rift resides in a passage down in the southern passage, blocking any attempt at safe passage. Few travel these parts anymore, most opting for the way safer, but more costly passage through the Kislyth Strait. A few scholars have traveled to The Southern Rift to keep accurate records and get a artistic rendition of how the rift looks. However only a few of them manage to make a coherent image of the rift. Furthermore, they could not keep consistent to what they were seeing. A sample of the most coherent renditions are stored deep within the vaults of the Kislyth archives, guarded from the masses.
