Coastal Road Fortress

Coastal Road is a major thoroughfare in First District which originally served as a trade route between the sea and the budding urban center that would one day be known as Third District. Prior to Z'hratian Unification, roads between cities were long and dangerous, the wilds frought with monsters and bandits.
It was in this context that the Sentinels constructed their Coastal Road fortress at the midway point. It is a large stone building, three stories tall, which was highly advanced architecture for the time period. Since then, it's been somewhat overgrown by moss and ivy, and taller buildings have popped up around it, but it still is a majestic building and a sturdy fortress.
The Sentinels gave the building to the Rangers when the guilds split off in 2494, partially for practical use as a headquarters, and partially due to the symbolism of those ancient soldiers who protected people from the land and vice-versa.
