Feral

The desert has a way of transforming normal people into what are locally known as ferals. Wild, uncivilized humanoids that attack travelers on site and eat their flesh. They travel in small packs of 4-12. Its believed that apart of the transformation causes a resistance to the harsh environment of the desert, as well as a loss of language capabilities. They tend to group up with jackals as pets, and form under jackalwere's.
