This is cheating a little bit because it's a continent rather than a world, but it's a continent that mirrors North America in a way that it's a 'new world' found by thriving countries from the other side of the globe. The side of Newground currently being colonated is riddled with dense oak tree forests and pristine freshwater lakes, though most settlers find themselves in towns that lie upon the plentiful grass-coated hills. The 'world', or continent, may have a name that isn't found in our actual world, but the encompassing world in this story mirrors Earth almost to a fault - the same metaphysical laws such as gravity, the same creatures, and the same humanity as Earth. This mirroring gives the author the freedom to mold the history, myths, and legends of the world, which can make for compelling storytelling.
