Blacksmiths

GenTech replication facilities hidden around the world in strategically located underground complexes are known as Blacksmiths. These installations are highly advanced and fully automated, utilizing cutting-edge technology from the 22nd century. Each facility is equipped with a network of automated production lines and nanofabrication systems capable of constructing new Hunter units with no oversight. Their systems are powered by self-sustaining hydrogen-fusion reactors, ensuring a constant and uninterrupted energy supply.
Blacksmiths were intentionally positioned to evade detection and minimize the risk of human interference. To safeguard their operations, the Blacksmiths are fortified with advanced security systems of automated turrets and adaptive AI-controlled patrols. The entrance points have been sealed and remain heavily guarded. In order to maintain secrecy and prevent discovery, GenTech employed a decentralized approach. Each Forge Station operates independently without communication between them to avoid compromising the network.
The replication process itself involves specialized nanomachines and 3D printing technology. Raw materials are sourced from the surrounding environment and acquired through autonomous scavenging missions. The facilities extract and process these resources to create the necessary components for constructing new Hunter units. AI algorithms oversee the replication process, optimizing their efficiency and adaptability.
Despite the passage of centuries, the Blacksmiths have continued to silently churn out new Hunters, perpetuating the threat they pose to humanity.

Blacksmith: Hammer

Tucked away in an subterranean cavern system beneath the Himalayan Mountains, Blacksmith Hammer draws from rich mineral deposits of the region with extreme energy-conducting properties to enhance the replication process. The intricate labyrinth of caves and tunnels provides it with natural protection.

Blacksmith: Chisel

Nestled deep within the vast expanse of the Sahara Desert, Blacksmith Chisel operates beneath the sands of the scorching sun. It is nearly impossible to locate because of the shifting dunes above.

Blacksmith: Punch

Situated within a dormant volcano in the South Pacific ocean, Blacksmith Punch harnesses geothermal energy generated by the volcanic activity. The magma chambers deep within the volcano power much of the facility's operations, providing an almost limitless source of energy. The volcanic terrain acts as a natural defense, with treacherous landscapes and noxious gasses discouraging intruders.

Blacksmith: Vice

Hidden deep beneath the ocean's surface in the North Atlantic, Blacksmith Vice harnesses the pressure of the abyssal depths. The station is encased in a huge titanium-carbon alloy dome. Its external walls withstand the immense pressure while producing Hunter units in the dark waters. A hollow, kilometer deep shaft was built to allow access to the facility which remains to this day.

Blacksmith: Anvil

Located in northern Siberia, Blacksmith Anvil is nestled under the frozen ice sheets of the tundra. The facility capitalizes on the extreme cold to enhance the efficiency of its fusion reactors, allowing for increased energy output. The constant blizzard conditions provide natural camouflage, making it difficult to detect from the surface.

Blacksmith: Forge

Concealed beneath the desolate remains of Moscow, Blacksmith Forge is situated within a massive underground bunker system originally constructed during the Cold War. The subterranean complex survived the nuclear strikes they were designed for, providing an excellent and impenetrable location for Hunter replication. Repurposed missile silos and strategic command centers house the massive facility, churning out extremely dangerous machines.
