Faction Influence

Reputation gains from Factions within Collectives not only affect other Factions, but other Collectives as well. Collectives each have their own similar ranking system as well. While Factions ranks are known as Influence, Collective ranks are called Standing. When earning Reputation, the total amount is split between Standing and Influence. Once Reputation has been acquired and calculated, 75% of the total is applied to Faction Influence while 25% is applied to Collective Standing. Unaffiliated Factions do not split any Reputation amount to a Collective since they are independent.
When available, players can wear a Crest to earn Reputation with a different split. Some Crests will contribute Reputation only to Faction Influence or only Collective Standing with additional Crests offering further modified splits.
Earning Reputation involves performing tasks, missions, or actions that align with their values and objectives. Their interconnected nature means that reputation earned with one Faction can ripple through the web of relationships, impacting how others perceive and react to further actions.
For example, with the standard 75/25 split, earning 100 Reputation with the New Terra Faction results in 75 Reputation points being added to New Terra’s Influence. Then, that Faction’s relationship to other Factions will be considered, affecting the others.

  • Allied: Terran Defense Corps, Solaris.
  • Liked: The Conflux.
  • Disliked: Sol Council, Native Sons, Brotherhood, Tyrian Union, Brokers.
    • Hated: Dominion, Reclamation, Prometheus, Reclamation.

The Allied Factions would receive 18.75 Reputation towards their Influence. Liked Factions receive 7.5 points. Disliked Factions would have 37.5 points subtracted, and Hated Factions would lose 75 points. Any other Faction having a neutral standpoint against New Terra would not be affected. This forces all Factions to remain in a state of fluctuation and imbalance, forcing careful decisions of who to work with.

Allied

+25% Reputation
A faction considers another as a trusted ally, and thus, working with one faction to earn reputation will significantly boost the standing with the allied faction.

Liked

+10% Reputation
When a faction is liked, there is a positive disposition towards them, and working with one faction may also have a positive impact on reputation with the liked faction, though to a lesser extent than allies.

Neutral

No effect to Reputation
Neutral factions maintain an impartial stance towards others, and thus, working with one faction does not affect reputation with neutral factions.

Disliked

-50% Reputation
A faction's negative disposition towards another means that working with one faction may lead to a decrease in reputation with disliked factions.

Hated

-100% Reputation
Hated factions have a deeply negative view of each other, and any collaboration with one faction will significantly harm the reputation with the hated faction.
