House Defiance

Dissent and rebellion against the Empire came to the forefront during The Rift, leading to the formation of House Defiance. Formerly loyal and revered members of Carnax society, they chose to challenge the established order, questioning the Empire's authority and seeking to reclaim their freedom. House Defiance became a symbol of resistance, representing the desire for self-determination and the rejection of oppressive rule.
As a newly created House, Defiance has taken a path of dissent and rebellion against the Empire. Led by the Harkarion, the former youngest sibling of the Emperor, House Defiance seeks to dismantle the established order. Members are not bound by blood, but rather have joined the House of their own accord, driven by a sense of betrayal and disillusionment.
Clad in white, House Defiance have discarded the traditional regalia of the Empire and instead display symbols of rebellion. They utilize their intricate knowledge of the Empire's inner workings to strategically undermine its power, employing subterfuge and guerrilla warfare to disrupt their operations. Through their connections to other Houses, they sow dissent and weaken the foundation upon which the Empire is built.
House Defiance’s ideology centers around the principles of breaking the chains of their masters. They envision a future where all Carnax, regardless of caste or lineage, can determine their own fate. They recognize that the divine search for the Relics is in direct opposition to this future, and have thus given up on what they believe to be a journey of enough blood spilled.
The status as the former sibling of the Emperor help’s House Defiance’s leadership serve as a symbol of hope and a driving force behind the rebellion. They command the loyalty and respect of their followers, instilling in them the belief that their cause is just and possible.
