GenTech Hunter

Hunter units are standard models that have survived from its manufacture in the 22nd century. While they do not move as quickly as they once did and their armor plating has worn down from its former glory, they remain fearsome opponents on the battlefield. Standing ten feet tall and weighing over two tons, the standard Hunter is a bipedal, humanoid machine with digitigrade legs, a thick torso and a head unit that houses sensory modules. In place of arms, they carry a large machine gun turret on one side and a rocket launcher on the other.
The shielding on their chest has eroded away, exposing internal parts that are susceptible to attacks. Its turret and launcher can be targeted and destroyed independently from the rest of the unit, and its legs can be individually damaged to further reduce its mobility. Its head can become damaged, reducing the Hunter’s target acquisition and fire rate.

Hunter Neo Mk2

The Hunter Neo Mk2 is a recently developed and manufactured model of the Hunter series. This upgraded unit is faster, deadlier, and more heavily fortified than the standard version. Unlike its predecessor, the Hunter Neo Mk2 uses enhanced servo motors and thrusters for improved maneuverability. Its armor plating is freshly constructed and heavily reinforced, leaving no room for vulnerabilities. They have a similar relative size and shape, continuing to walk on two sharply angled digitigrade legs.
Designed for heavy assault, the Neo’s weapons systems have been replaced and expanded. Its primary armament are twin cannons mounted on articulated arms, capable of unleashing devastating superheated plasma. They also carry a large grenade launcher housing on their shoulders loaded with high-explosive ordinance. Housed in its chest is a pulse generator that can fire a blistering shockwave at close quarters. Neo’s can also drop orb mines on the ground from a housing on its back that seek out enemies.
Hunter Neos has fewer weak points than its precursor. Sensors on its head can still become damaged, reducing its target acquisition and fire rate. Its cannons and mine launcher can be targeted and destroyed independently as well, however its pulse generator is immune to damage. Its movement cannot be stopped by assaulting its legs directly, but its speed can be hindered by destroying its thruster modules.

Hunter Aero

The Hunter Aero is a smaller, airborne variant of the Hunter series designed for rapid aerial assault. Its chassis is optimized for aerodynamics and is equipped with powerful thrusters and stabilizers. They can fly at high speeds, swiftly change direction, and hover without moving.
Hunter Aeros are armed with ranged weapons it uses to attack from the skies. Its primary armament consists of a single integrated rapid-fire cannon mounted in its chest. In addition, they perform bombing runs by launching a series of explosives in a straight line while they fly by. The thrusters on its back are vulnerable to direct fire.

Hunter Blitz

The Hunter Blitz is a particularly small and deadly variant. They are designed to rush at their targets self-destruct with explosive force. They are spherical in shape and only three feet tall. Their frame contains a single large optical unit and four small legs. When they locate a target within range, they tuck their appendages in and roll into a ball towards the enemy. Once they approach, they will begin to glow for a brief moment and explode. The Blitz can be destroyed before they self-destruct without exploding, particularly by attacking their eye.

Hunter Salvager

Designed to offer field support to its allies, the Hunter Salvager is a specialized variant that provides repairs and defensive capabilities. Its sleek, single wheel design allows for swift movement to assist fellow Hunter units quickly. Dual repair modules protrude from either side of its body which deploy nanomachines to repair up to two other Hunters within range.
In addition to its healing abilities, the Hunter Salvager can launch support pods that deploy protective energy barriers to shield allies from incoming attacks. These barriers can absorb and deflect enemy projectiles, providing temporary cover. The only offensive capability Salvagers have is to ram enemies. Its wheel is the primary weak spot on a Salvager.

Hunter Apex

The pinnacle of all Hunters is the Apex, a marvel of destructive power. They are highly mobile machines armed with a variety of deadly tools to perform their namesake: hunt. Their lower chassis is quadrupedal with four arachnid legs. Its central body and head combination is sleek and menacing. Apex have several visual sensors on the ridge of their snout capable of simultaneously tracking multiple targets.
Instead of arms, their weapons systems are integrated directly into the upper chassis. A telescopic particle canon is housed in a hidden module on its back. Two rounded, retractable missile pods can emerge from their shoulders that launch guided rockets in any direction. Its front legs house large retractable energy blades that extend for swift and lethal melee strikes when the Apex is within close range.
Below its core is a heavy thruster that allows quick, airborne repositioning. Additionally, the Apex is equipped with a holographic visual cloaking system that hides itself from the surrounding world, granting extremely dangerous maneuverability. The Apex is quick, agile, and extremely dangerous at any range. Aiming for its head to destroy sensors to reduce accuracy and ability uptime is the best option.
