Praetorian Ascendants

Over time, Praetorians become more dangerous by using Quicksilver to augment their abilities, becoming Praetorian Ascendants. Once modified, they are half biological, half synthetic soldiers. Their weapons and physical form are greatly enhanced with Quicksilver, making them faster, stronger, and more fearsome on the battlefield. Their skin has lines of intricate silver patterns running through it, and their eyes emit a piercing, vibrant silver glow.

Juggernaut

Praetorian Ascendant Juggernauts are unstoppable brutes with a large amount of health and damage resistance. They are huge, muscular, and adorned in head to toe plate armor. Their helmet is essentially one giant horn. They wield a two handed hammer and have a Quicksilver exoskeleton. They are very aggressive and constantly rush towards the closest enemy within range.   Juggernauts are immune to all damage, however they have three vulnerable spots on their bodies that glow; two on their legs and one on their chest. Damaging these three spots enough disrupts them, remove their invincibility. They also become physically staggered, their Quicksilver armor disappears, and their damage resistance is removed for eight seconds. Once recovered, their metallic protection returns, damage resistance is reapplied, and their weak spots appear again after a six second cooldown.

Venator

Praetorian Ascendant Venators use their Quicksilver to create empowering structures while laying suppressive fire on their enemies. They wear tribal robes with runic symbols, accessorized by the bones of their enemies. They are equipped with a sniper rifle and attack from long distances. Once an enemy is detected, the Venator creates three floating Quicksilver pillars surrounding them that take three seconds to build. The pillars empower them, giving a massive damage and armor bonus. While empowered, they have a Quicksilver exoskeleton and their weapon glows. Destroying the pillars removes the empowerment and makes the Venator vulnerable. They have a 10 second cooldown until they can rebuild the pillars.

Chimera

Praetorian Ascendant Chimeras can use their integrated Quicksilver to shapeshift to perform a variety of attacks as well as shield themselves to regenerate health. They wear medium plate armor and are surrounded by a swirling wave of liquid metal. If they are in range of an enemy, their Quicksilver transforms into one of several attacks. They either create a large tendril which has long melee range, giant spikes on their shoulders to ram with, large claw gauntlets for close range swipes, or a wave of spikes that emit from the ground to attack from a distance.   They do not have much damage resistance, however if they are wounded more than 25% of their health, their Quicksilver becomes an invincible dome. While the dome is active, the Chimera rapidly heals. However, dealing a large amount of damage rapidly to the shield will break it, stunning the Chimera and exposing them for six seconds. While stunned, they will not move. After this time, they begin moving again and if still below the threshold after another six seconds, they can attempt to shield themselves once more.

Assembler

Praetorian Ascendant Assemblers can create allied units to assist them in battle. They are surrounded by Quicksilver that constantly shifts and flows around them and are equipped with a fast firing shotgun. Their armor provides a huge boost in damage reduction and can coalesce into six autonomous drones. They are conical shaped and use integrated anti-gravity technology to hover around the Assembler, autonomously firing small bursts of energy at their enemies. Three of the six drones glow, providing damage reduction for the Assembler. Destroying the three glowing drones destroys all of the drones and disrupts the Assembler for eight seconds. During this time, they are still able to move and attack, however their Quicksilver armor disappears and their damage resistance is removed. Once recovered, their armor returns, damage resistance is reapplied, and they can relaunch their drones after a six second cooldown.

Tyrant

The Praetorian Ascendant Tyrant has especially large spines and wears a skull on their head in place of a helmet. They wear large and majestic ceremonial armor embellished with ornate engravings beneath a vibrant, flowing cape. Tyrants are very aggressive, wielding a colossal energized greatsword they can strike with both powerfully and quickly. They have four orbs of Quicksilver that rotate around them. These orbs provide a large amount of damage resistance. Tyrants are immune to stuns, but destroying their Quicksilver orbs removes their shield and makes them vulnerable.   They attempt to close in on enemies rapidly. They are able to do so by running, or by taking a brief stance, charging up, and launching into the air, crashing down with their sword and dealing damage in a wide area. Additionally, they can unleash a commanding roar that boosts attack damage for all Carnax in the area.
