VI. The Dreaming Embrace

The Dreaming Embrace is an enigmatic Relic of extraordinary power, possessing the ability to turn desires into reality. Taking the form of an ornate, glass-like container, it is filled with a beautiful, white liquid. The source of the Relic’s power comes from within, however there is no way to open the bottle. To use The Embrace, its user must break open the bottle, allowing its contents to escape. The liquid rapidly becomes a wispy, ethereal mist that envelopes its user. It shimmers and shifts if it were alive, wrapping them in a delicate shroud of opaque iridescence. Within the mist, faint whispers permeate within the mind and its desires. Its connection with the realm of dreams and the untapped potential of the subconscious are echoed back into the mist. These projections swirl and intensify, amplifying and materializing desire and effectively making them a tangible reality.



The process of manifestation varies depending on the complexity of the desired outcome. Simple wishes may occur instantly, while more intricate desires require additional concentration and time. The mask taps into the fabric of reality, weaving its influence to reshape the world according to the user’s deepest longings. Once the process is complete, the mist re-materializes itself into a container as if it was never opened.

The Embrace must be used extremely cautiously as unintended consequences can easily occur. It may interpret desires in unexpected ways, distorting original intention and twisting the desired reality. This could result in a chaotic blend of conflicting realities or unexpected manifestations that interact with each other in unpredictable ways, disrupting the fabric of existence. Using it at all causes extreme mental drain and may lead to outright madness.
