Biggs the Blob
Biggs the Blob was a sentient gelatinous cube granted intelligence by a drow mage worshipper of Ghaunadaur. When the mage explained Biggs was to guide him and his bodyguard through a temple full of oozes to retrieve an idol, Biggs questioned for what purpose. Learning the mage intended to use the idol to trick local kuo-toa into walking into Ghaunadaur's sacrificial altars, Biggs decided that didn't sound very nice and refused to comply. When the humanoids decided to try motivating Biggs with pain, he attacked in self-defense and consumed them both. He has sat in the temple ever since then, unbothered by his fellow oozes and wishing to explore yet unsure if those things the mage said about "horrible, ooze-eating monsters" lurking out there were true.
Some time later, he met a group of adventurers who were exploring the temple in search of the idol for altruistic reasons. Though the adventurer K initially mistook Biggs for a mindless ooze and shot him, his telepathic yelp of pain and screams that the ooze-eating monsters were real gave the adventurers pause as Biggs ran away as fast as an ooze can move (not very). He waved a white flag of surrender and begged the "monsters" not to eat him; they assured him they would not and asked about him instead. Biggs told them his history and warned them that other oozes deeper in the temple may try to attack them.
As they moved on, Biggs tried to follow them stealthily (poorly) and eventually asked to come with them as they prepared to leave the temple. Since he seemed harmless, the adventurers agreed and Biggs was eager to see the outside world in the company of strong and brave adventurers who could keep those horrible ooze-eating monsters away from him. His arrival to their camp was not well received, with both Itassis and Villamax opposed to his presence. Villamax managed to create a compromise by using his magic to switch the acid of Biggs' body with soap, transforming him into a Cleaning Cube.
In his time with the Thaig Expedition, Biggs was often left in the care of Sunny who tried to whip the meek, cowardly blob into a soldier (with extremely limited success). His chief duty was keeping the members of the expedition and later a ship they were entrusted with, the Grinning Widow, clean. Leh'ct was the one who most frequently used Biggs services, typically before his meetings with Matron Mother Ysri Vaerixas.
Unfortunately, leaving Biggs in Sunny's care eventually came to be the blob's undoing. Biggs was taking a nap in the belt pouch Sunny kept him in when the warforged was critically damaged, triggering his self-destruct mechanism. The resulting explosion killed Biggs along with Sunny. As Sunny the hamster was jury-rigging an escape craft out of the debris of his self-destructed Gundam (while the bounty hunters were busy fighting the monsters freed from his destroyed magic items), he used Biggs remains for lubricant. Once he was back home in the Miniature Giant Space Hamster Empire, he removed the remains from the craft and ensured Biggs received a proper burial.
