House Cull'thaine

House Cull'thaine are the de facto rulers of the drow city of Vlyn'darastyl, having risen to power in the centuries that followed House Vaerixas' exile. Though a council also composed of members of House Quinorrax, House Vel'narras, House Baltiri, and House Gaedre technically rules the city from the Dwen'del Palace, the other houses know full well that even should they unite against House Cull'thaine it would be a close conflict. They dare not move against them unless House Cull'thaine should ever make the fatal mistake of losing the Spider Queen's favor.
They are led by Matron Mother Driadara Cull'thaine, who has headed the city council since the ousting of Ysri Vaerixas. Unlike Ysri, she is devotedly loyal to Lolth and will carry out the Spider Queen's with the passion of a zealot.
