Incepting Tanks

These ancient devices were created at the height of the Mind Flayer Empire's power. As much science as magic, an incepting tank can be used to modifying the genetic structure of a humanoid placed inside. The mind flayers of old used these to give psionic powers, minor compared to their own abilities, to their mind controlled servants that would allow their thralls to better carry out the tasks set before them. This ultimately backfired as it was those very psionics that allowed the ancient gith to secretly break free of the mind flayers influence and bring their empire to an end.
