Ladia Ashpyre

Ladia Ashpyre is a duergar cleric who worships Moradin, Dwarven God of Smithing. She was exiled from her home city of Brazenthrone for worshipping a surface god rather than a member of the duergar pantheon and made her way to the Deep Spire. She offers worship services for duergar (and others) who wish to step away from the Underdark's many wicked gods and find something better in service to Moradin. She freely shares knowledge of her lord and other Good-aligned deities that she has studied to the best of her abilities. She also offers healing services to those in need and otherwise funds her activities with her mushroom farm.

Meeting Leh'ct

While Ladia did notice the adventurers of the Thaig Expedition the first time they passed by her mushroom farm, she wasn't properly introduced to any of them until Leh'ct wandered into her farm. In (very) broken Undercommon, the young drow seemed to have questions about the farm that he was directing at one of her workers. Ladia stepped in an spoke to the young man in Common, which Leh'ct was fluent in, after introducing herself. Though she did not give her name (nor did Leh'ct ask it), she introduced herself as a cleric of Moradin whose mission was the bring the light offered by the surface gods to the people of the Underdark, many of whom had only ever known the darkness of the wicked gods who congregated in the depths below the earth.
She told Leh'ct of the mushrooms they grew here, including fire lichen that the young man had never seen before. He offered to purchase one that Ladia instead gave to him as a gift, though he still insisted on donating a gold piece of her church. She next informed Leh'ct of her healing services (stating that magical healing was considered something of a last resort due to the effects of faerzress). Ladia also saw fit to give Leh'ct a warning when he mentioned his upcoming meeting with Matron Mother Ysri Vaerixas; through the drow of House Vaerixas had good hearts, he should not mistake their goodness for niceties or softness. Leh'ct commented that Ladia had a good heart before thanking her for her information and advice and running off to attend to other errands.
