Athanasius Von Griswold

Athanasius Von Griswold (Human, Male, 55, Vampire Hunter) is the Patriarch of House Von Griswold. He is married to Anastasia Von Griswold (once of House Hune) and has 2 childen. Athanasius was only 15 when he assumed the head of the family, his father the former Patriarch fell at the hands of the vampire lord Kane, one of the generals of the Necromancer, during The Great War. He is an accomplished vampire hunter and alchemist, scholar and politician. He is always very direct and straightforward with people (sometimes to the great dismay of his interlocutor), he sees no reason for social subterfuge when not dealing with his hated enemy and cares little for the machinations of the other noble families. He seems very energetic, impulsive and always pressed for time but nothing could be further from the truth, he plots and researches his moves carefully before he makes them but when he has decided which path to take nothing will prevent him from walking it. He cares dearly for his family but cares about ending the vampire scourge even more. Athanasius is an intense traditionalist in almost everything. He is so tenacious and imposing that he is unaccustomed to being told "No" by anyone, especially by members of his own House. He has a great deal of battle scars from his various hunts, but the most noticeable is his milky right eye, he doesn't speak about how he acquired any of them.
