The Brotherhood of Beer

The brotherhood of beer is the largest and most well known organization within the church of the new God Cayden Cailean. They are drunken monks who brew, deliver, protect and most all consume their own beer, ale and mead. Their main base of operations is in Nexus proper but they have some ''monasteries'' elsewhere as well. A brother is expected to brew his or her own batch of potent alcohol as part of their training, they then must then take their libations to somewhere in need of Cayden's blessing and must defend their blessed cargo along the way from bandits and monsters. Once the monk has found a place in need of a good drink he sells his batch (often giving it away and accepting voluntary donations) all will partake including the monk and give thanks to cayden cailean for their night or 2 of revelry. Afterwards the brother goes back to a monastery to meditate train and reflect on what could be improved upon while brewing his newest batch.

Public Agenda

The Brothers of the Lucky Drunk seek to spread the word of Cayden Cailean to people in despair by having raucous parties and playing drinking games. They are well respected brewers of fine alcohol and are always warmly greeted wherever they go. As undisciplined as the monks might appear however, they are rigorous in their analysis of how their batch of beer could be improved; a smoother after-taste, a lighter hangover, a different alcohol content, etc. Because of the constant improvement of their product, the Brotherhood of Beer's drinks have become legendary. Afterwards they meditate to train their spirit and train their bodies in combat, while their next batch is brewing.
