Njord

Vanir god of the Sea, and the king of the Vanaheim
As king of Vanaheim Njord ruled over his realm with compassion. Once upon a time, he led the Vanir against the Aesir in a war between gods. The war ended when he agreed for Odin to marry his daughter Freya causing peace between the realms.
During the battle of Loki's Decept, Njord fought alongside his allies to wipe out Hel and her army. But soon after Loki's betrayal Njord and his group found themselves outnumbered. He fought valiantly until he was eventually killed as Hel and Loki and their army made their grand escape. He only hopes his son Freyr could carry on his legacy with his death.
After his death the vast beautiful ocean of Vanaheim ceased to move and almost all sea life beneath it started to decay.
