Anthony Bertram Opera House Dressing Room

The dressing rooms at the Anthony Bertram Opera House are as beautiful as every other part of it. Built from the same white stone as the rest of the building, the counters and chairs are all made of mahogany. The wall with the counters is lined with large mirrors which allow someone to see themselves while sitting down in order to apply makeup. The opposite wall has a row of full-length mirrors, allowing for performers to examine their full costume. That the mirrors line opposite walls also allows for performers to better see their backs when adjusting costumes and hair. Both sets of mirrors are lined at the top with lights, and the room has an additional panel of overhead lights. These are lit by Magic and are tuned on and off by tapping a panel of coins just inside the door. This type of lighting allows for more control and less flicker. They are also longer lasting than traditional electric lights.
