Danielle Accoroso
Danielle Accoroso was a Xurugwi woman born and raised in Mocrioca. As a child, she excelled at musicianship, and at the age of twenty-five, she was declared by her local temple as their Trickster-Trapper. Though she lived on the opposite side of the small country from Kedos, she was presented with Pembroke's Flute to use in her work, so that what was left of Cornelia Pembroke would continue to assist her in her work. She often traveled around the country, performing rituals throughout Mocrioca, and the country was said to have been almost free of tricksters for two decades. She died of a stroke in 1803, and after being given Xurugwi funerary rites, her bones were not found. Furthermore, the flute was found carefully nestled in a box, as if ready to be returned to the Kedos temple. Most Mocriocan Xurugwi believe that Danielle found peace with the goddess through her connection with Pembroke's flute, and, like Pembroke, her soul returned to the First Home, but she left a small piece of herself behind in the flute to offer strength to the next trickster-trapper.
