Lei was born a Drab to the Dragon Clan in the eastern part of Sanctum Hollow. There she was raised to serve the clan elders. While she excelled as a librarian, bookkeeper and similar, her feelings of inferiority due to her status as a Drab led her to depart from her clan's home in Long City. Despite this, Lei keeps up a cheery and optimistic attitude, trying perhaps a bit too much to be helpful.
Having left everything behind, Lei seems reticent to speak about her family and any friends she may have had in her old home. She keeps her eyes forward, looking to give her all to the next task she needs to complete. Lei studies not for personal gain, but seeks to shine light on secrets to share with others, for the betterment of all. She feels like she's spent her whole life searching for an answer to a question she also doesn't know, but perhaps she'll know it when she sees it.
