It is 2068, 23 years after the end of the 'Time of the Red' a period of global reconstruction as corporations and governments alike tried to recover from the unparalleled economic and environmental damage that resulted from the 4th Corporate War. A war that culminated in the detonation of a nuclear bomb at Arasaka headquarters in downtown Night City. Now, the Corporations are stronger than they've ever been and have brought new technological advancements that seek to make life 'better' for the people of the world and Night City is the perfect test bed.
