Brown Paperbark Bark

The Brown Paperbark Bark is gathered from the Brown Paperbark Tree of the Dark Wood Forest find in the all over the Dark Wood Forest. Used in a very of things like cooking, fire fuel, paper making and in drinks like tea. Gather about every two weeks or so. Use in summer for camping outside for fires and cooking a ritual that at last happen once a year. It's also used in other Dark Wood forest rituals too.

Material Characteristics

Light brown to dark brown over time with a bark being from small to large pieces no bigger then 40cm.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The older dark brown bark burns easy faster then wood, The younger light brown burns slower.

The soft light brown bark is used on the paper making. The Dark brown bark is used for starting fires, smoking food, cooking, tea and to warp food in.

Geology & Geography

It's found on the Brown Paperbark Tree in the Dark Wood Forest being more common in the west, south and little less in the east and very little in the North because it is too wet.

Origin & Source

Grows and falls off or gathered off the Brown Paperbark Tree with muilt layers on the tree.

History & Usage

History

The bark was used by first people of the Dark Wood Forest in cooking, tea and warping food. Later started to add it to food and cook with it in different ways.   As the need for more paper grow and supply started to slow down, with people many wanted to find a new way to make paper. Start with different plant from the Sugar Wheat which was strong and hard. Even wood it was to hard. Even a bit everything at one state. Then came the idea with young light brown bark from the Brown Paperbark Tree being soft and close to other plants used in paper making it work well. It was easy to gather and make soft but it was a little on the weak side. They later found it to be stronger and still soft when mix with other plants like the Sugar Wheat, wood chips and other leave over plants too. Which made each paper different from each other with min of 80% of paperbark bark was add in to called the paper Paperbark Paper. Many of the Dark Wood Forest people got behind the idea of making paper from the bark. With many believing it respected the tree more.

Discovery

It was first discovered by Taylor Rose Wolf when documenting the plants in the Dark Wood Forest found it make great tea and fuel for the fire after the bark fell on her.

Everyday use

It used in paper making, tea and smoking food. In the wilds it fertilizers the ground and why framer use it for the soil. Also use for teas and spice for food.

Cultural Significance and Usage

The Dark brown bark is used all year around in cooking and in tea for its unique it adds to the food. It is easy gathered from the trees by gathers and sold it the people with money going to the worker or help worker job.   It used by the people of Dark Wood Forest for campfires to cook meat and vegetables with the bark and also have it in tea from afternoon to later in the night with some sleeping outside though the night in summer months. Tradition done by the Dark Wood Forest people for years with everyone putting a little money in or work.   Also used in a number of dances and ritual. With Forest Warriors going through for every rank used in everyone, with the light brown used for it's slower burning rate.

Trade & Market

With in the Dark Wood Forest it is sold cheap for being a staple in cooking. Light brown bark sold to paper makers to make paper at a little more. The Brown Paperbark Paper mainly made into book, art paper and maps. Dark Brown Bark also sold to tea maker, eating place and some sold to brewery.

Storage

When gathered it storage in small wooden box to be sold. When people shop for the bark they bought their own small wooden box or they can a box. It's best it keep in cool, dry and out of the sunlight spot.
