Forest Duck
Forest Duck is a water bird found in the Dark Wood Forest, wetland and around water. They are sometime framed but not as many as the Forest Chicken. With both their eggs, meat and even the feathers are used. The Forest Duck lives in the wild mainly in the east forest areas commonly found in Dark Wood Forest, wetland, something in Stormy Woods and before fog wall unless it's summer. The Forest Duck eats plants from water, land and even fish somethings. They both walk and swim mainly staying around the water areas and away from people. They is some farmed where most eggs and meat come from rarely from the wild unless eggs. With the framed meat being seen safe and easier with the wild being cheaper and called wild Duck eggs or wild duck meat.

Anatomy
Small green duck with long grey longs and large feet. With large brown wings. With the baby ducks being a dark yellow colour.
Biological Traits
The Forest Duck is mainly found in the wild where there is different in different area of the Dark Wood. They can be all different heights and weight for different ducks like the in the north is smaller duck, so they can swim easier as they made for the water more then other duck. Even the ones east have stronger legs for digging and diving into water as they hunt differently to the north. The Forest Duck in the south are rarer to found, with them likely to be in mud and away from the water as they fly a lot more so they have larger and stronger wings. With farm Forest Duck they are over all bigger than most wild ducks as the feed more stable then the wild ducks but not over feed. As they are also stronger and have stronger legs but their wings haven't change much.
Genetics and Reproduction
They lay eggs for more the year unless it is too cold. The eggs must be fertilised by another duck which usually happens around spring and summer.
Growth Rate & Stages
They start of as eggs they come as small yellow ducks and start growing they water feathers in a week. Then they will learn to swim from other ducks in the group. When old enough the ducks might choose to leave their born group to find a mate. They usually stay with same mate for all to most of their life's.
Ecology and Habitats
They live near the rivers and lakes of the Dark Wood Forest where there is plants in the water and on land mainly near their favourite food which can be different for each bird.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They mainly eat water and land plants around the water they live in. They mind sometime forage for seeds or bugs in the ground. With sometimes eating fish too.
Biological Cycle
They lay eggs all year when they through warmer months the lay eggs to be fertilised. They only stop laying when it's is too cold usually through the middle of winter.
Behaviour
They live in groups from small to large sizes. They live around the water. Living on the land and the water with living in the being where most of their is life. They will look after each other and the younger ones of the group.

Social Structure
The Forest Duck stay in small to large group with most duck that leave their home group leave when young but ducks can leave again or at anytime they want. The duck can also go out on their own and live a life as it not as much for survival. With many of them loving to spread time with other ducks. With some spreading time with their mate or other duck more than the other.
Domestication
They are framed little mainly for their eggs and meat. The farmed ducks are better then the wild ducks for food. The ducks are framed around small lakes with most of their food around the area.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
When framed they are used for meat, eggs and feathers. With the wild ones the gathered eggs and feathers rarely meat. The Forest Duck eggs are the second most used eggs in the Dark Wood Forest.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
They are found all over the Dark Wood Forest from the wet areas of the North to rockly mountains of the east and the dry to the south and west where they more of a balance.
Civilization and Culture
History
They are most keeped in the wild. Where farming them is a new thing. Forest Duck use to be hunted early days of the Dark Wood Forest by anyone. Now that job is for the Gathers hunt, gather eggs and watch over. As the Gathers job became more popular the job list got longer as they wanted the Gathers to record the population and to be the only people to hunt them. As before some people did at least gathered the eggs before but that was uncommon. Forest Duck was add to the last of jobs that all Gathers do through the Dark Wood Forest as this soon write book for all Gathers to follow as it is looked at every year. The Forest Duck is now only hunted winter in by Gathers. They used to stay away from people, fear of them killing them as they started to be around the people more as some thinks people coming to them, but likely the population has returned as the reported numbers says.

Not anyone can hunt the Forest Duck only gatherers, fighters and anyone gets permission to do so. Over time more people started to Farm the Forest Duck. As this help the wild population grow.
