Tubercolostomatosoidea
Tubercolostomatosoidea is a superfamily of predatorial amphibians found all around the planet's oceans.
Outside of three families of the group (Aratropiscidae, Laniostomatosinae and Poifàgostomatosidae), these animals are characterized by a specialized mouth composed of several jaws and a retractable tuberculus.
This seemengly enourmous difference has been caused by the extreme evolutionary radiation that occurred 32 Million years ago, at the start of the new cycle; the single jaw and absence of tuberculus is a more primitive feature that re-emerged due to this change.
The body is elongated and the Gill fan generally medium to high ridged; generally speaking the tail ends right after the caudal drop, with some exceptions like in the Bigeye Pincerfish.
Dorsal armor is generally thick and segmented and the eyes are overdeveloped.
