I am what you would call the mayor of the town, elected and always the best choice.
Foolish Dean is the Human mayor of Croterfyn. He has been the leader of the town for the past five years and has recently been reelected as its leader. He is known as a rather chaotic personality with a bright smile on his face most days of the week. He is known and seen to be carefree for being a man of his station and letting the ruling go to the guilds and people themselves. He has made several decisive decisions for Croterfyn, rebuilding infrastructure and a focused effort of recruiting masons and builders to reinforce the walls of the town.

Youth
Foolish Dean's past before his adolescence is a mystery. Many know him only from him being a young teenager that told fun stories for money in the streets of Croterfyn. He was also seen as a shopkeeper soon after with many far-telling tales about his "adventures" and activities in town. His longest-standing friends are also quiet about his past, keeping it a mystery for most people.
Adulthood before mayorship
Foolish Dean, as he would be known for his storytelling and carefree and amusing personality, worked in many places before settling down in his late twenties as a merchant handling wood and stone for miners and lumberers on the outside of town. He frequented their camps and the various taverns in town telling his jokes and stories that he had heard during the day and the ones he made up on the spot. Few took him serious as a person due to the carefree nature he carried and his constant jokes. The times he showed a serious side, however, there was silence and careful ears listening to him. He has his ways with people, and that is no more than true. His ability with them eventually lead him to try to become the mayor of Croterfyn.
I dare say I was elected for... well, the other candidates were to be honest so stale that their own mothers left them at the eastern passage and hoped that they went that way.
