Ice Harrow
The Ice Harrows are... terrifying. When one talked about this as I wrote, I could feel the chilling winds it manifests, how it crept up spine and throat. The man that told the tale showed a blue scar on his back where he was hit by an icy blast from the creature. he was lucky, his companions were not.In Jorvemland there are fantastical creatures roaming the icy waste and mountains, hunting prey and living on unsuspecting people. An Ice Harrow is one of them, an ice-spiked, medium-sized creature covered in a blue-white skin, scales or rather a glass-like cover. It hunts and eats animals with the ice spikes it can shoot from the back and arms. It is also able to use magic abilities that cast cold blasts of snow or ice or winds that chill down the flames of the most eager adventurer.— Everam, Teller of Nimenra
Anatomy and Abilities
Standing on two legs about 1,5-1,6 meters tall, the Ice Harrow have two arms with three spiked "fingers" it can grab with. Usually, it walks hunched forward or on all fours which lower its profile. It has a blue/white "skin" or "scales", it has been hard to determine as they seem to be made out of an icy, glass formation that can be, with care and strength, pealed off from a dead Ice Harrow. This natural protection makes them resistant to many typical weapons, maces and other blunt force weapons and tools seems to have the best effect. Along its back and arms, there are ice protrusions that are similar to icicles which it uses as weapons.
Among its abilities, it can use the protrusions on its arms and back as projectiles. The spike formed icicles are its main weapons against its prey or it uses its arms to maul it. The spikes can penetrate normal Human skin at a 30 meter distance. While the spikes and arms are mainly used, the Ice Harrow also is capable of magical abilities. It can summon winds that chill their surroundings and impart vision on their prey or enemies. There is also a snow/ice blast ability where it manifests snow into its "hand" and shots it at the target. These abilities have been observed as only used when threatened and notably not when it is hunting.
Inside an Ice Harrow there are the typical organs of an animal; stomach, intestines and heart, all in similar colouration of the blue/white of the skin in various shades. What is missing is the eyes and lungs. Instead of eyes it has a cold stare of two deep blue pearls that is highly sought after by Orfordsmen. What replaces the lungs is unknown, they do breathe air, however.
