Talustar

Marlun has always been surrounded by mountains, divided up into four parts. Talustar is the south-most mountain range of them all and divides Marlun from Narzuvim, the home of the Demons and lands of Nekuram. The only known passage is through the mountain passes that has been fortified by Nekuram with the two gates Unsirgea and Fenhergea.

Geography

Many peaks rise to the sky from this long and tall mountain range with several ores and fine stone materials to find. It is also known to be very treacherous and dangerous to be trying to pass in any way, only the most foolish have tried to find new ways across it. Still, the lower hills are habitable on both sides and many mining towns and villages exist on the Nekurian side of the mountains. On Marlun's side, the operations never fruition after both war and disasters that have destroyed and laid many entrepreneurial spirits and villagers' lives to waste under rocks and magic. Yet, freshwater runs down in small streams from the high mountains and still green patches of land exist in the eastern part of Marlun close to the mountain range.

Runvim's Bedd

During the early expansion into Marlun by the Demons, Runvim was a larger mining and trading village that was located on the edge of Talustar's northern mountainside. It was very much the first real expanding village with up to 100-120 people living there. Young settlers and colonists came from all of Nekuram in the hopes of getting rich after the findings of Durulir, a material mostly only dwarfs could use and very valuable in coin and trade. Unfortunately, the mountain would take back all of it when Humans attacked and caused an avalanche of rocks to occur, killing all and destroying the village. This was one of several sparks that would lead to the beginning of the War for Marlun. According to a few historians, the Humans never attacked but it was a natural cause of an earthquake or other phenomena in the region during that time. Most of these are Humans, but there are some demons who have researched the region and records from the time and acknowledged the possibility.
Runvim's Bedd is now the name of where the supposed village was located. No more than a huge pile of rocks and stone, no faction or country has ever laid claim to the site after the disaster that either nature or Mankind produced. There is a built pillar from the rocks by someone unknown with writing that says:
They were lost and War renewed, a monument to the loss of hundreds

Natural Resources

Many Demons has laboured the south side of the mountain range, generating many different materials in the process. The same goes for the Dwarfs, who had a network of tunnels running throughout the mountains up until The Great Quakes. Among these materials are mostly fine stone, like white granite and white-blue marble but there are a lot of iron in the lower hills and downwards. The streams of freshwater coming down the tops has also been a vital part of how the easternside of Marlun has it's green patches and habital lands.
