The Aged Hall of Manir

Ruins of settlements does not dot the maps of Nimenra. Although they exist, they have usually explained away as abandoned villages or remnants from before The Great Quakes.
There are, however, some like Manir's town and the Tower of Cuthura that goes unexplained. The most mysterious to many is that these locations are all not built by neither Humans, Demons or Dwarfs from what it seems.
— Everam, Teller of Nimenra
Manir explored many of the buildings of the city during his first visit and among them are The Aged Hall (of Manir). A large complex to the like of a small keep inside, the hall has several rooms overrun by overgrowth, roof collapses and wild animals that have made it their home. Believed to once be the home of some greater being, explorers have tried, and failed, to get further into the basement and third-floor area despite the threats that lurk inside. Since the location is far off from any roads and living settlements, all of it has been called damned or haunted by many that have entered and for the lives that go lost.
Due to the The War for Marlun, no one has dedicated time to explore any location of Manir's town, especially the Aged Hall.

Purpose / Function

During exploration, nothing has really come to light about the purpose of the Aged Hall. Manir found that the large and extravagant entrance made it suspiciously like a keep or house entrance of a greater noble. He found that the paintings are all ash ridden or damaged beyond repair and any text that he or others found were written in an unknown language. While some later schoolers that have dared to go to this location even during wartime, no one has any idea of what true purpose the hall once served.

Architecture

The stone used in building the hall is not from Marlun's eastern mountains that are close by. Instead it is found in the northern parts and in the southeastern parts of Telamirein. This stone has travelled several tens of kilometres to be placed for this specific building. Above all else, like with the town itself, it has a distinctly different architecture to it. Many of the visible outer walls top parts have intricate formations of lines that seem to look like flames or flame structured design to them. The roof's sides have long-tounged lizards scribed into them as an example of the very work that was put into the hall. While the original white-shifting and gleaming building material have faded due to the ash that has layered it over time, the structure itself is a prime example of the unknown architects' work.

History

The building, along with the rest of the town, was found by Manir while he explored the eastern parts of Marlun. The town itself had never been described before his own writing about it, the town was a known location of a nearby village. Manir spent two years exploring the town, three months exclusively to explore and write about "the Aged Hall" as he called it. According to him, he believed it to be a nobility keep or home due to its vast structure and fine decoration on the outside that he could notice. What more was that he found texts that were found to have similar, if not the same, language as from the Tower of Cuthura. After he returned, few explorers have taken their time to stay at the location due to deaths and disappearances at the location and the war in Marlun.
There has also been some Nekurian schoolers that have explored the town and reported their findings to Nekuram.
