The Books of Sincere Verum
It is said that there are books out there that contain forbidden knowledge about... The Other Gods. Those who have them try to contradict and change what we believe about The Eight Gods many of us worship. They are, if you can't tell, dangerous, very dangerous...— Everam, Teller of Nimenra
Few dare to question the Nimenra's Gods of The Eight Pantheons. People who do usually do not last long in life either disappear, are imprisoned or killed by the populace or die mysteriously. The few who survive and write about The Other Gods are fools to believe what they write and believe in since they deal with powers outside of their own knowledge. Still, it is something enticing about writing these books it seems, for there are several tomes that have been found, kept locked away or later destroyed in all manners of ways. The people who keep these vile books should be cautious and not let the Gods discover what they are trying to do.
Books of Lore
While writing a book or tome is not forbidden for anyone who is able and has the monetary funds, its content can be. The Other Gods are a truly vile subject to explore as most try to go against the established lore and truth that The Eight Pantheons have about cosmology and history. The books that talk of these things are called "Sincere Verum" by their authors or following as if they have a higher truth on the matter of the Gods. Many groups that attempt to discover more about The Other Gods keep these, trying to read and gain knowledge about them through intense reading sessions, worship or actions that they believe can help them find one of The Other Gods and perhaps free or find out the "truth" about the history long before Humans, Dwarfs and Demons. The books are hunted by authorities and the Eight Pantheons priests alike for the disruptive views that the books give an account of. Many are destroyed or kept locked away in libraries of important temples if deemed to keep knowledge of myths about The Eight's Gods that have gone missing.
There is one notable book, the Sincere Lore, that is in the hands of a man walking through Marlun who tries to find out the truth himself. Where the book will bring him and others who might follow him and the impact they might make remains yet to be seen.

Author's Notes
In some way, it is several artefacts, but it is still an artefact! Anyway, this is a vile and hideous kind selection of books for the priesthood on Nimenra. I hope that comes across with the language I have used.
