Government
House Eversbrach was the ruling family, and representatives to Weikoff. The local Constabulary, mostly formed of the faithful of Bahamut, handled security and protection. The last Sheriff of Edelskopf was Ferdinand Beniclavius.
Defences
Sturdy stone walls rounded the perimeter of the village proper and three stone towers stood to watch her borders.
Industry & Trade
Wheat and barley farms in the surrounding countryside provided flour for the bakers and ingredients for the Brewery. Dark, full-bodied beers and ales from Edelskopf found their way across Menoroth. Silver was the lifeblood of the town otherwise. The Eversbrach family owned a small stake in a Dwarven silver mine in the nearby mountains and as such, silver would flow through the town to be refined and sold.
Infrastructure
Stone walls and guard towers. Windmills dotted the landscape. The village center was home to an impressive, yet modest Dwarven forge. Alongside typical stores were a handful of more luxurious businesses. The village boasted of having its own cobbler, tailor, and silversmith.
Assets
The garrison was well stocked with weapons and armor, mostly of Dwarvish make. Silver moved through the town from the Dwarven mines in the mountains.
Guilds and Factions
House Eversbrach was the major political power.
House Beniclavius maintained a leading role in defense and law enforcement.
The Dwarves of the the village held a respected place among the craftsmen and the town guard.
History
Legend has it that centuries ago the small village of Edelskopf was protected from raiders by a silver dragon who taught the citizens the faith of Bahamut.
Architecture
Hearty oak was the primary wood used and the roofs were mostly thatched. The stores in town and those who could afford it, built their homes from gray granite and proper tiled roofs.
Geography
Edelskopf sat within sweeping hills and valleys at the foothills of the mountains.
Natural Resources
Wheat and barley made up most of the crops, and wood needed to be brought in from lumber camps further away. Stone was quarried at the foot of the mountains and would be brought in as needed alongside the silver. Edelweiss dot the landscape and are often used in the village's art and iconography. It was customary that a young person in love would present an edelweiss to their lover as a promise of love everlasting.
