Screedreep
The screedreep species is known for their hunched posture, drooping ears, and short snout, which gives them a constant expression of fear or anticipation of being struck. The history of screedreeps is closely tied to the RED Corp, as they were among the first non-human species to be subjugated and brutalized by the corporation. They surrendered their beautiful homeworld, Eostrillon, to RED Corp and were forced to assimilate into the corporation's way of life.
Despite their initial defeat, screedreeps have become dedicated and subservient subjects of RED Corp. They are particularly skilled at identifying plots within and against the corporation's bureaucracy, making them valuable administrators in the organization. However, their status as the corporation's favored non-human species has earned them distrust from other sentient non-humans under RED Corp's control.
Screedreeps have adapted well to RED Corp's technology, although they prefer predictability and repeatability over magical enigmas. They value universal systems and are often trained in vocations where a single administrator can oversee a network of personnel, making them ideal for managerial positions within the corporation.
Occasionally, a screedreep may leave their position within RED Corp, either voluntarily or not, and take up independent work. Some may even turn to criminal enterprises, running efficient racketeering operations, smuggling rings, or thieving organizations. These screedreep "facilitators" are skilled at avoiding notice and often rely on the clever observations of their fellow screedreeps within RED Corp's administration.
Screedreeps typically stand about 3 feet tall and weigh around 60 pounds. They reach adulthood at 15 years old and can live up to 150 years naturally.
