During the Divinity War, the collection of potent and volatile magical energies created a rupture in the fabric of the world, known as the Great Schism. The resulting calamity resulted in the deaths of the entire divine pantheon, according to religious sources. The current era calendar is based off of the Great Schism.   Currently it is 3,900 years After Schism, or After Divine War in some places.
