Stormhold Prison
An Imperial prison built atop a hill overlooking the city of Stormhold. It was destroyed during a prison riot centuries ago and abandoned. It has been rebuilt by the An-Xileel to use as a Prisoner-of-War camp during the ongoing War of Accession against Morrowind.
The prison sits atop Xul Vos, a hill rising from the canals of the city. Within the hill is the entrance to Silyanorn, an ancient ruin of the Barsabeic Ayleids which was destroyed in the First Era. The camp's primary source of revenue is mining the collapsed tunnels of these ruins for precious metals, varla stones, and other Ayleid artifacts.
Prisoners must buy their way back to the surface whenever they're assigned mine labbor. Because of the unrealistic quotas, they are forced to spend days or even weeks at a time underground with little supervision or supplies. An entire underground econemy has cropped up in the tunnels, trading crystals for services, places to rest, and food.
