A holiday created and sponsored by the Merchant's Guild. Every marketplace and equipment store drops prices to at least half. The only shop not patronized today is the Mages Guild, where prices are exorbitant as usual. Citizens in need of a magical item may wait another two months for the celebration of Tales and Tallows when prices will be more reasonable.
On this day, the sleeping and waking world may appear to blur. Mocking laughter may ring in your ears. A face in the crowd appears distorted, vibrating and twisting and coming closer and closer until you blink... A rare, but repeated occurrence is a person living out the entire day in perfect detail, only to wake up at the start again. Then repeating. And doing so over and over again, each cycle becoming more surreal and painful, until they awake truly with an agonizing scream, having aged physically by years.
