A truly ancient and powerful Magi, Lilith Ferrum is the only known child of Lucius Ferrum and proved a powerful Magi of Darkness from a young age. Lilith served as one of Lucius's most trusted commanders. After the defeat of her father and the Bringer of Glory at the Battle of the 13 Keys, Lilith disappearing for some years. She reemerged some years later on Malaa, where she took over as leader of the remnants of the "Bringers of Glory", defeating all her challengers. She had led the organisation for the past 2580 years or so, defeating far younger Magi who attempt to supplant her and armies sent to destroy her in Great Purges.   It is said that Lilith has mastered control of all 13 Schools of Magic, and may be more powerful now than even her father ever was. The time for her to lead her forces to war once again may be close at hand ...

Personal history

Lilith was born around 30 years before the end of the Age of Magic, marked by the anti-Magi purges and the start of the Age of Iron. Her father was Lucius Ferrum, a powerful Magi of Heavens who was in the process of mastering control of all 13 Schools of Magic. The exact identity of her mother is unknown, with stories varying from her being a powerful Sorceress of Darkness to being a non-Magi prostitute. Lilith soon proved herself a remarkably powerful Magi of Darkness, and proved a young and talented commander among the ranks of the "Bringers of Glory", her father's organisation.   Lilith fought at her father's side during the Battle of the 13 Keys, in which her father and his forces were ultimately defeated. Lilith is said to have been severely weakened by the battle and vanished for several years afterwards, believed to be dead by many. She reemerged after the outbreak of the anti-Magi purges, escaping to the frigid northern island of Malaa. There she took over as leader of the remnants of the "Bringers of Glory" after defeating all her challengers. She had led the organisation for the past 2580 years or so, frequently defeating far younger Magi who attempt to supplant her. She has also fought off hundreds of Great Purges called against the Bringers of Glory, defeating vast armies of Religious Warriors who have repeatedly assaulted Malaa over the millennia.   Over that time, it is said that Lilith has slowly been recovering her strength and growing her power, gathering Magi and armies to her side. It is even rumoured that she has mastered control of all 13 Schools of Magic, and may be more powerful now than even her father ever was. With the lands of men increasingly growing complacent and turning on one another, and with ancient powers slowly stirring, her time may have now come ...

It is believed she has steadily learned and mastered power over all 13 Schools of Magic since then, with it likely that she has learned from some of the greatest Magi over two and a half millennia.

Accomplishments & Achievements

A powerul Magi of Darkness by the time she was 16 years old, and a commander in the Bringers of Glory by the time she was 20. Survived the Battle of the 13 Keys and is said to have defeated numerous powerful Magi and warriors during the terrible battle, despite only being about 25 at the time. It is said that she and Nxasana dueled with one another at the battle, and fought one another to a draw, forcing one another to retreat. Survived the anti-Magi purges.   Defeated far older and more experienced Magi to become leader of the Bringers of Glory when she was about 30 years old. She has defeated numerous challengers to her position over her rule of the organisation, slowly rebuilding it and strengthening it over some 2580 years.   It is further believed that she has mastered control over all 13 Schools of Magic, a feat accomplished by only her father before her. Indeed, some believe she may be even more powerful now than even her father.

Failures & Embarrassments

The defeat of the Bringers of Glory at the Battle of the 13 Keys is still a dark point for the organisation and Lilith in particular, who was there at the battle. It is said she also blames herself for not doing more to save more Magi during the anti-Magi purges.   Over the millennia, many younger and more ambitious Magi, including a number among the ranks of the Bringers of Glory, have criticised her for not attacking the non-Magi. Many view her as overly cautious and inactive, having spent over two and a half millennia rebuilding and gathering her strength.

A staunch believer in the freedom of living things, Lilith refuses to use living slaves, although undead slaves are considered fair game. Lilith is said to give her close allies and apprentices second chances, but to treat her enemies without mercy. The Bringers of Glory rarely keep prisoners for long, and are said to torture them to death when trying to extract information, or as an intimidation tactic against enemies.
