Life, Identity
Fendir and Kastella tell each other they love one another.
"Ow ow ow ow ow!" Fendir said as Kastella dragged by his long pointy ears into their tent. "What the hell?!" she asked him angrily when the flap was shut. "Oh come on! It's a centaur! I couldn't tell him no!" he exclaimed excitedly. Kastella gave him a death glare. "We had a deal. We get the sword and go home. Not get the sword, then fight more orcs, possibly run into the dragon, help ten other people and then go home!" she scolded him. Fendir gave her puppy dog eyes and she sighed and plopped down onto the ground and put her head in her hands. "Fendir," she said desperately. "I'm scared. I'm worried about what we're doing here. It's not funny anymore. It's dangerous!" Fendir sat down next to her. "Stella," he gently reached out and rubbed her arm comfortingly. "I promised I would protect you. Yes, this is dangerous and yes we've cut it close one too many times. But I love this. I love the adventure," he looked up into her eyes and caressed her beautiful pink cheeks. "I love you," he told her sweetly. "I know I'm a complete idiot most of the time and I know it bothers you that I'm genuinely turned on by a centaur but look," he sighed trying to collect his thoughts. "I want to be with you. I want to make this work. I know we're scared and we're trying to figure out a lot of things about our lives right now but I-" Kastella kissed his lips, cutting him off and pulling him into her arms. He sighed with happiness, "You love me?" she asked him softly, sounding surprised and excited. He nodded shyly. "Of course I do. You're my best friend, Stella. I know I'm a piece of shit but I still feel things," he felt his ear start to turn red. Kastella gave him a cute smile. "I... I love you too," she told him, her pink cheeks turning rosier than normal. Fendir pulled her into his arms excitedly. He pulled her to the ground on top of him and they giggled and kissed each other as they fell to the ground. "You should get some sleep," Fendir told her reluctantly. Kastella nodded and started setting in for the night. "When are you going to rest again?" she asked him. Fendir sighed, "I'll rest first with you and then take watch outside," he said, setting next her to hold her as she fell asleep. "Goodnight, Fendir," she said curling up next to him. "I love you," she told him excitedly. He beamed at her. "I love you too, Stella," he told her sweetly. "Goodnight, my love." He kissed the top of her bushy red hair and sighed happily as she fell asleep in his arms.
