Life, Milestone
Kastella sat down on the edge of the bed, deep in thought. Fendir started taking off his gear, "What's wrong?" He asked her. She looked up at him, bewildered, "Are you serious? Did you not hear what Don Jon just said? About Breeze?" Fendir sighed, "Yes, I did. It's quite sad. Aren't you glad we didn't try to steal the bell with them?" "That's your take away?" Kastella asked, still shocked at his casual response. He looked at her, clearly exacerbated, "People die, Kastella. I don't know what to tell you." "Yeah! YOU almost died today! I don't know what that banshee did to you but it was not good! We've come too close to death too many times here. It's time to go home." Kastella said, resolute in her decision. "Oh come on! I was fine! We're fine! Besides, the people here need us." He told her. "No. They don't. Julius is here now. He can take care of the dragon, come on." Kastella said pulling the stone out of her pouch. "No! Not yet!" Fendir cried out to her. "Fendir, what more do we need to prove? I don't want us to die!" "And I don't want to go home!" Fendir said desperately. He was too afraid to face their parents for what they had done. He also liked being here. On an adventure. It was exciting and purposeful. Back home everything felt boring and he feared he and Kastella wouldn't be able to stay together much longer if they were back in Flottenheim. Not because of their parents, but because he was afraid they'd get bored. That he'd get bored. He wanted to love her but the idea of committing to only her at this point in his life scared the hell out of him. He knew that was what she wanted. She seemed to sense this and she looked down sadly at the rock in her lap. "When then?" She asked him. "When the dragon is defeated? When the people here are safe?" she asked him throwing her hands up in defeat. "Come on. We can handle it, Stel. We have to. Otherwise this will have been for nothing." He joined her on the edge of the bed. Her tail gently caressed his back. "You don't want this." She said shaking her head at him. He looked up at her, "Of course I do. I'm allowed to have doubts, Stel. I'm allowed to fear it," he sighed and shrugged, "I am young. I'm an elf. But I want to try. Please don't write me off yet," he begged her. She dropped her head. "Fendir, I don't want you to force this. If you don't want to be with me-" He leaned in and kissed her, cutting off her next words. He started taking her armor off and soon she started to help him. He had to make love to her. To get these silly ideas out of her head. He pushed her beautiful, naked, pink body into the bed and quickly put his mouth to work. He loved her for hours, trying to combat the notion that they wouldn't work together. He wanted this to work with her. She was so beautiful and wonderful and funny and talented and caring. He loved her. He wanted this to work. He wanted to be with her. He adored everything about her. She was his best friend and his favorite person in the world. When he couldn't hold himself any longer he came in her rigorously and then collapsed onto the bed next to her, exhausted. She cuddled next to him and gasped in pleasure before almost immediately falling asleep in his arms. He drifted off into his meditations and hoped that they wouldn't continue their argument the next day. Fendir woke up and looked down at Kastella who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. He waited for her to wake up, dreading the moment her blue eyes would look up at him. He was starting to wonder if he could fuck her for the entire day again when she started to grumble and turn as the sunlight broke through their window. She finally looked up and him and sighed heavily before burying her head back in her pillow. Fendir gently stroked her beautiful red curls lovingly when she sat up and looked at him with her usual morning grumpiness. "How dare you?" she said accusingly. "What?" Fendir asked her, feigning innocence. "You tried to get out our discussion by having sex with me!" Fendir shrugged. "Were you dissatisfied?" She glared at him. "You're insane," she said. Fendir shrugged and hopped out of bed, "So were you last night," he teased her as he grabbed his braise and started getting dressed. "We're going to find the sword today," he told her. "Fine," she said grumpily. She finally got ready and they headed out into the bar.
