The Qiir'avera are the indigenous people of the Slycol Desert from prior to the Fall to the Void.

History

The Qiir'averan people were first established in the early Age of Creation as a culture of people who lived in the region that's now called the Slycol Desert. The people were vibrant and bright with a culture full of music and song. Many individuals of Qiir'averan descent have some intrinsic link to the Leylines of the world that grant them some mote of magical power.   After the Fall to the Void, the Qiir'averan people were displaced from their home with some drastically changed by the arcane devastation or were displaced to other parts of Nonvyrox. When this happened, many of the people engrained new elements of themselves into the cultures that they were placed in. However, some still chose to return to the Slycol Desert to retain and reclaim much of the culture that had been lost in the desert.

Religion

People of Qiir'averan descent have a vast number of religious beliefs, however there is a strong link between them and both Mandra and Lyr'ian. Both gods are strongly represented in the ruins of Qiir'averan life. By 755 AR, more of the descendents focus their worship on the Starweaver because of their intrinsic link to hope. There are some who choose to worship beings linked directly to the leylines and the sands of the dunes, however these are more outliers than the majority of the culture.

I am glad they seem to have done okay despite the Fall of the Void. It's interesting some chose to integrate into other societies and some chose to return to the desert.
