Shelda Berries are small seed-sized orange fruits that have been grown within the Slycol Desert. They are an essential fruit for travellers across Kyradon.

Properties

Shelda are known for the ability to enchant them with a small amount of nourishing energy. These are extremely simple enchantments that allow for the berries to sustain many travellers as they traverse the Desert's difficult sands.
Some have learned that the berries can help hydrate people along the desert. When crushed, the berries produce a mass of liquids that can help completely hydrate an individual travelling. For those who require sustinance from water, the berries are said to eliminate this entirely, allowing them to travel across the sands of the desert despite the lack of water in its dunes.

History

Since 693 AR, the Shelda Berries have been magically grown in many locations along Slycol Desert. Each of the batches that come from these locations are taken to a large population centre where they are enchanted to provide nourishment. By 755 AR, the Berries are easily avaliable particularly because when enchanted, each of the berries remain stable to be used for many centuries.
