Darfin Farsolar

Darfin Farsolar is the youngest son of Hagre Farsolar and an accomplished magic user.  Unlike his brother and father he does not have th egift to use True Elven Magic. 
Darfin feels like he is worth less in the eyes of his father because of his lack magical ability.  He has been slow to learn, and is not fond of magic like the rest of his family.  He feels like he is a disappointment to Hagre.  

Darfin was very close to Laniel.  She too was pushed to learn magic, but unlike DArfin, she rebelled and went her own way.  While her father thought it was just a phase, Darfin knew that she would never be a mage like her father, and was happy when she escaped his influence.  He only wishes he could do the same.
